So, pretty frequently writers screw up when they write about injuries. People are clonked over the head, pass out for hours, and wake up with just a headache… Eragon breaks his wrist and it’s just fine within days… Wounds heal with nary a scar, ever…

Nice! This, of course, is being reblogged by someone who (totally seriously!) accosted a nurse in an elevator as I was going into surgery, wanting to know how many bags of blood a person would loose before passing out. He was very nonplussed. I had a story idea! it was important to know!
